A Thanks Giving...

Since this was our year with chads family, and since Sharon's house was under some constriction, we hosted Thanksgiving at our house. Now if you don't know, Chad's family is not small. There are 25 of us (12 adults, 13 grandkids), with one on the way. Mea and Jason are in Californian but still. 23 people, to cook turkey. for...) Yikes-it seemed alike a big task. Well, here we are, 3 borrowed tables, 7 borrowed chairs, 8 borrowed plates, lots of borrowed silverware, one 23 lb. turkey that Chad and babied nicely I must say, a load of yummy stuffing, perfectly mashed red potatoes, and all the other huge amounts of amazing side dishes, desserts and drinks brought by everyone- later. It was a success and we had fun too.

I think I speak for everyone whenI say that we are grateful for family.

Another rare sighting...

So Chase can try and deny it all he wants to, but we have the name on his back to prove it. He was being very sweet with his little bro'.

Chad caught this highly unusual event at the Juan Diego State Champ game last Friday (which they WON btw)!!

Chad said Chase was being nice to Julian the whole time...and I just think it's the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Park City again!

Those of you who know us, and our family, know how chaotic our house is. And for us, getting a good night's sleep once in a while (Ethan wakes up several times a night) is mandatory for us. Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa Petty we get to have this priveledge when we really need it.

We stayed (again) at the Washington School Inn. We loved it so much that we decided we are not going to mess around with Priceline anymore and just go there from now on. It's right off of Main Street, so everything is within walking distance. That means nobody has to be the designated driver anymore. And that in itself is worth every penny (although I have to say, we don't spend any more than we do with Priceline - so it's a great deal.)

And oh, what a GREAT little getaway. We enjoyed eachother's company so much. Just the two of us. We talked all night, and laughed. It was perfect. The next day I demanded that Chad go shopping so he would stop complaining about having no clothes to wear. He did good. And I couldn't complain. : )

And I decided after our dinner that I am going to start blogging about the places we eat. Chad and I have eaten at some of the most amazing places, and have had some of the best food, and I feel like I should be sharing the information. I consider myself to be somewhat of a self-proclaimed "foodie", and Chad is about the best side-kick I could have. We have very similar tastes. Anyway, try some of our places out. Unless you just can't get away from your dear "Chuck A Rama". I know how hard that can be. : )

Disney On Ice

Chad and I took Julian to the Energy Solutions Arena last night to see "Disney On Ice". Julian's eyes lit right up when he walked in and he was totally mesmerized. Any of you who know Julian know the look on his face when he saw all those princesses! So, I thought I was getting tickets 7 rows up, but turns out I messed up and scored us front row seats. We were right there on the ice. In fact Julian almost fell on it three times. The best part of those seats was that at the end, all the characters came around and shook hands with all the kids on the front row. So yes, I totally rocked the front row ticket thing. Anyway, he had such a great time and I'm sure the tickets were well worth the memories he is going to have from it for the rest of his life.

When we left, he was dying to go on a Traxx train, so we took him up a stop and that was enough to satisfy a three year old for many years to come. What a great night!

Like, we totally had a junior high reunion! Oh my heck!

Last night a bunch of us girls from Bennion Junior High got together for a reunion. Yes, I know, I've already been made fun of for it. : ) Oh my gosh, it was so CRAZY and so MUCH FUN to see everybody. It has been 19 years since I have seen most of them. The weird thing is it seemed like it was just yesterday. Anyway, we ate, laughed, looked at pictures, told stories, and made a pact to see eachother about every three months. What a great time!

I'm not going to list anybody's last names, but the top pic from left to right is (top row) Kim L., Trista N., Linda R., Tracy G., Amy B.(on the couch) me, Natalie B., Aimee W., Tami G, Hillaree R.

Can't wait to see you guys in February!!! Thanks again.
